Manor Estate in Münsterland

One of the most influential manors in the region for centuries, Haus Brueckhausen is situated close to Alverskirchen. Still well preserved, the multi-storied brick house evolved during the course of several redevelopments – at the start of both the 17th and 18th centuries. The redeveloped house’s showpiece is the large salon with its wood beam ceiling dating back to 1620. The house and estate are picturesquely “framed” by its moat.
Two cosy historical guest rooms in the manor house invite guests. They will include modern bathrooms. The house’s guests will be able to breakfast in the so-called “Fireplace Room”: In summer, guests are welcome to take breakfast in the garden.  Price from 100,00 € to 150,00 €    double room:number: 2x including breakfast

History

Haus Brueckhausen was comprehensively extended for the first time at the start of the 17th century.
The then owner Caspar Höfflinger needed a residence befitting his position as state bursar. Therefore the manor house was redeveloped into a representative estate with a moat around the house and farm (1601). The south gable gained its present appearance during the course of the manor house’s second major redevelopment (1728).

The present owners Baron and Baroness von Twickel converted two rooms into guest accommodation. One of the rooms is situated behind the showpiece salon with a small additional single room, bath and toilet.
Another double room with shower and toilet is on the ground floor.
